NetWords (“NetWords”, “we”, “us”) is a daily word-puzzle game available at networds.app. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and the choices you have. NetWords is operated by Titus Whang.
You can play NetWords without signing in. When you do, your game progress,
statistics, chosen colours, and similar settings are stored locally
in your browser (via localStorage) on your own device.
We do not receive or store that data on our servers, and it stays on your
device until you clear it.
To deliver each puzzle, your browser fetches puzzle data from our backend. When you type a word during play, that word is sent to our word-relationship service so it can be scored against the puzzle; we do not use these submissions to identify you.
Signing in is optional and is only needed to buy a subscription or colour palettes and to carry those purchases across devices. We use Google Sign-In through Supabase Auth. If you sign in, we receive and store your name, email address, and Google account identifier, and we create an account record (identifier, email, and the date you signed up). We use this only to identify your account and apply your purchases. We do not receive your Google password.
Subscriptions and one-time palette purchases are processed by RevenueCat (which manages entitlements) and Stripe (which processes the payment). Your card details are entered directly with Stripe and handled by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number. RevenueCat stores a record of your purchase linked to your account identifier so your entitlement is recognised across devices.
NetWords uses Google AdSense to show advertising. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads, including based on your prior visits to this and other sites. You can learn about and control Google’s use of advertising data at policies.google.com/technologies/ads and manage ad personalisation at myadcenter.google.com. Where required (for example in the EEA and UK), we ask for your consent to advertising cookies before they are used.
We do not use analytics or tracking scripts for our own behavioural profiling.
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that make NetWords work, acting on our behalf:
NetWords does not send marketing email. Payment receipts, if any, are sent by Stripe on our behalf.
You can clear your local game data at any time through your browser. If you have signed in, you may request access to or deletion of the account data we hold by contacting us at tituswhang0930@gmail.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA; contact us to exercise them.
NetWords is a general-audience game and is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
We keep account data for as long as your account exists or as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations, and we use reasonable technical measures to protect it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
We may update this policy from time to time; the “last updated” date above will change when we do. Continued use of NetWords after an update means you accept the revised policy.
